Why rent an aerial work platform from KCH RENTAL
Every KCH platform is a new machine imported directly from the LGMG factory, runs on a lithium battery, is safety-checked before delivery, holds a Por Jor (ปจ.) certificate, and comes with operator instruction every time.
-
Lithium battery on every unit
Li-ion 24V 230–280Ah. No water top-ups, no acid leaks, and faster charging than lead-acid. Suited to clean indoor work.
-
Safety-checked before delivery
Every machine’s condition and safety systems are checked before it leaves the yard, so it is ready to work on arrival.
-
Por Jor (ปจ.) certificate on every unit
An inspection certificate your site safety officer can file before the machine goes on site.
-
Operator instruction every time
Our team shows your staff how to operate the machine and work at height safely at handover.
-
New, direct from the factory
Imported directly from the manufacturer, LGMG. Not second-hand: the latest -2 series.
How high do you need to work?
Wind outdoors means the maker sets a lower working height than indoors, with 1 person on the platform.
What is an aerial work platform?
An aerial work platform (AWP) is a machine that lifts people and tools to work safely at height. The operator stands in a guarded platform and controls movement from the platform itself. It replaces scaffolding and ladders for installation, maintenance and construction work.
The same equipment is also called an access platform or MEWP. In Thailand the general term is รถกระเช้า, and X-Lift is the local name for a scissor lift.
Types of aerial work platform
Three types cover most jobs in Thailand. They differ in how they lift and where they work best.
X-Lift / Scissor Lift
Lifts straight up with a large platform for several workers. Suited to indoor work in factories and warehouses, and electrical, HVAC and piping installation.
Limit: Cannot reach over obstacles
See X-Lift detailsBoom lift
Lifts up and outward and rotates. Suited to outdoor work, tall buildings, signage and roof structures.
Limit: Smaller platform; needs more set-up space
Vertical mast lift
Lifts straight up from a small, light base that fits through doorways. Suited to tight spaces, shops, hotels and spot repairs.
Limit: Usually one person only

How to choose the right platform
Answer these five questions and the right model follows.
Not sure which model you need? Send site photos on LINE @kchrental and our team will recommend one free of charge.
- Working height
Measure from the floor to the point your hands must reach. Working height is platform height plus about 2 metres. - Indoor or outdoor
Use electric models indoors: no fumes and low noise. Use diesel rough-terrain models outdoors or on soil. - Do you need to reach over obstacles?
To reach over machinery or racking, use a boom lift. If you can lift straight up, use a scissor lift. - People and tool weight
Add up people, tools and materials, then check the total against the platform’s rated capacity. - Access and floor
Check door widths, goods lifts, slopes and floor strength.
Rent or buy: which costs less?
Rent for short or occasional jobs. Buy if the machine will work every day of the year.

FAQ
What is the difference between an aerial work platform and an X-Lift?
Aerial work platform is the general term for all machines that lift people to work at height. An X-Lift is a scissor lift, which rises straight up; the name comes from its crossed, X-shaped supports.
How much does it cost to rent a scissor lift?
Rental depends on height and rental period. Scissor lifts start from 2,000 THB per day, and monthly rental lowers the daily rate.
Do your rental platforms have a Por Jor (ปจ.) certificate?
Yes. Every KCH RENTAL platform has a ปจ. certificate, which your site safety team can file before the machine is used.
Why choose a lithium-battery scissor lift?
Lithium batteries need no water top-ups, cannot leak acid and charge faster, which suits indoor work in factories and warehouses. Every platform KCH rents out uses a lithium battery.
What does AWP stand for?
AWP stands for aerial work platform, a machine that lifts people to work at height. It means the same as MEWP and access platform.
Which platform should I use indoors?
An electric scissor lift: no fumes, low noise and non-marking tyres.
Do you provide an operator?
No. Rental is machine only, with a basic operating briefing at handover.
